Belik Kayangan and Puncak Moyeng

Today, Saturday, 13 June 2015 was the different day for my cycling trip. My today’s destination was not so far from my home, it just took for about 30’ km away from my home. Guess what made it different? It was about with whom I rode my bike. In this lovely sunny day, someone special was accompanying me to the place i haven’t visited yet. The place could be called Heaven Palace due to both of its nature beauty.and its panoramic view. It was Belik Kayangan which was located at Girimulyo, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. It was about km away from the central of Yogyakarta city.

Waking up at 4 a.m. and leaving for my home at 5 a.m. made me enjoying the fresh morning air. Ooh Gee, that was great. I waited for a friend of mine to go to Kulon Progo along with him, called him Bung Tito. We went through along Jl.Godean and we stopped for a while at Kenteng, Nanggulan to wait for a friend, Pak Kusuma Ndaru. He is a coach of his own biking academy named Ndaru Gowes Academy.

Arriving at the Kenteng-Nanggulan intersection, we continued our trip. We went straight toward the west. The conditions of the road was on asphalt so it was so smooth and we could see the beauty of the rice field along the road.

Later, we arrived at “Patung Sapi” near Singkung bridge. From the bridge, we went through the uphill road 500 m till we eventually arriving at the T-junction and we had to turn right. Then we  just follow edthe road until later we saw a small driveway on the left side. Eventually, we touched down to the first destination,Belik Kayangan.

Belik Kayangan or called Cliffs of Heaven since  it is a vertical cliff angle of 90 °, used by the local community as a “ciblon” place or soak while doing rituals of Javanese tradition. We played a lot there as soon as we touch the fresh water there.

We would not be so long there since we still continued our trip to the second destination, Puncak Moyeng. It was our hardship to go there as we had to passed many uphills.

Moyeng  itself has a height which is substantially lower than the peak of  Suroloyo  since it is located at the eastern. It also presents the beauty of Yogyakarta city, a thousand mountain ranges, and the valor of Mount Merapi and Merbabu , This place is  beautiful and still relatively rarely visited by the ourists.

These are some photos we captured there. Touching down here at the dawn will bring you luck as you will get the best panoramic of the beautiful sunrise at Menoreh mountainous.

#DI KETINGGIAN Senangnya melihat sepeda kami berada di ketinggian
#NYALI Menguji nyali tak ada salahnya kan?
#MY DREAMS Look at my dreams at Belik Kayangan
